International satellite & mobile communications firm is seeking a Facilities Engineer to maintain all equipment (satellite transmitters, UPS, antennas, etc.) for their Los Angeles location. Must have working knowledge of uninterruptible power supply and serve as the lead contact for diagnosing issues, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Ideal background includes 3 + years previous engineering experience in satellite industry. Military SATCOMS a plus. Engineering degree with emphasis on satellite communications preferred. Knowledge of RF engineering, testing and analysis required. Experience also required in video and audio; AC and DC electronics; satellite encoding, decoding, multiplexing and modulation techniques (analogue and digital). Knowledge of video, audio, data and digital transmission systems.
Salary depends on experience. Eligibility for a yearly profitability bonus of 15% (this bonus has been awarded the last two years).
