Responsibilities:
The Web Developer will work closely with Project Management, Design, Web Development and Technology teams. He/She will produce cross-browser, standards-compliant, front-end code (HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, etc.) which will be integrated into a content management system. This is a full-time position.
Position Requirements:
-A minimum of 2-3 years of experience creating hand-coded, semantic (table-less) XHTML and CSS is required.
-Full understanding of CSS/CSS2.
-Must exhibit a passion for producing clean, standards-based semantic mark-up. Must also have a passion for researching and learning emerging web technologies.
-Advanced knowledge of Javascript and DOM traversing and manipulation.
-Knowledge of various Javascript frameworks such as jQuery, mooTools, and Prototype.
-Working knowledge of how to create and read JSON objects. .
-An understanding of the Ajax object, how it works such as it’s various states, and how to update a page.
-Develop pixel-perfect presentation layer code based on the comps from the design team
-Must have an understanding of SVN.
-Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and image optimization techniques are vital.
-Must have an understanding of browser capabilities and design constraints on the web, with expertise in developing and testing across multiple browsers & platforms.
-The ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment, is essential.
-A self-motivator and not afraid to ask questions.
Extra Credit:
-Experience in developing for content management systems
-Experience with Omniture or Google Analytics
-Interest and knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3
-Working knowledge of Git version control
