Summary: Primary responsibilities:
Ability to develop electronic circuits, knowing the advantages, limitations and costs of various electronic design approaches
Use electronic design strategy to guide and continuously improve the development process and electronic control designs and systems
A minimum of 8 years of systems hardware design experience including analog circuits for power management applications.
Establish, plan, design, develop, review and conduct coordination for test programs or electrical components, small systems or processes or materials taking into account customers, product performance, cost and quality requirements
Perform Engineering/Technical assignments using Manufacturing/Assembly Engineering and/or Design Engineering practices and principles.
Design and implement assembly methods, processes, and tooling which support product quality and reduce assembly hours.
Ability to understand microcomputer architectures to achieve the most efficient hardware/software design solutions
Ability to understand and analyze electrical failure modes
Ability to occasionally interface with vendors and customers and periodically travel, including international travel
Outstanding people skills, with the specific ability to interact as a lead player
Dynamic self-starter with ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Strong decision making skills
In-depth computer skills related to specific needs of position
Knowledge of manufacturing, product engineering and procurement processes desired
Experience in aerospace and military electronics design is a plus

Education and/or Experience: B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum 8 years experience desired
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
