Management Liaison, PMBOK, Propulsion Testing~
RESPONSIBILIITIES:
Develops project plans and deliverables, directs all project phases and acts as primary customer contact. Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management process and decisions. Coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling and line management. Uses trend, earned value and variance analyses and risk assessments to develop plans or to recommend change. Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines. Transitions projects to customer for on-going support; performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Interviews project participants to define sequence, document and establish duration of project activities. Performs assigned project tasks and deliverable les that meet identified requirements by application of or in accordance with accepted Project Management principles (Project management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK]). Gathers, compiles and reports information to designated parties regarding assigned project deliverables. Provides concise project status, progress and change information from the assigned elements to the project team. Effectively communicates the perspectives of the project team concerning any work-arounds, recovery plans, work scope changes, etc. Develops negotiating skills by engaging with specific organizational and project task owners to improve project performance commitments for lower level and narrowly defined tasks. Defines plan elements and performs searches of PMBOK and internal/external historical libraries, or archives, for applicable processes to collect metrics or lessons learned for incorporation in the baseline project plan creation. Per established processes and formats, gathers information from project team regarding progress, concerns and/or issues (e.g., cost, schedule, deliverables) to produce periodic reports (e.g., resource usage, schedule compliance agendas, minutes, project concerns), charts, schedules, etc. Identifies, assigns and tracks action items as they occur throughout project.
