We are seeking experienced environmental professionals to support existing federal contract work for the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
PROJECT ENGINEER/GEOLOGIST/SCIENTIST
Description: The successful candidate will work exclusively in support of a USEPA Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract involving a wide range of environmental projects including time-critical emergency response, hazardous materials investigations and clean-up operations. This position is located in southern California although project work may occur throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. Work involves planning, supporting and managing environmental field investigations including preparation and implementation of various submittals (work plans, sampling and analysis plans, health and safety plans, etc.), and preparing reports summarizing environmental data and recommendations. The successful candidate will be responsible for emergency on-call rotation support, field work and travel (25% to 50%) as necessary.
Requirements: Must have a minimum of a BA or BS degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, chemistry, biology or related discipline from an accredited college or university. The qualified applicant will have 5+ years of related experience. Professional registration such as P.E. or P.G. desired although not required. Must have excellent communication (written and oral) skills and demonstrate strong computer skills. Position also requires OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Site Worker training and CPR/1st Aid certification.
