Senior Art Director
The leading L.A based virtual world development studio is searching for a visionary Art Director to spear head the visual style of our new AAA development project.
Collaborating with Senior Leadership, Design, Development, Production, and Marketing, our Senior Art Director must consistently deliver world-class visuals on schedule and within budget. He or she must be able to multi-task across multiple projects under production pressures while at the same time paying undivided attention to the smallest of details,
Our ideal Art Director needs to posses the ability to receive and follow through with complicated direction while at the same time being able to stay true to the AAA IP of the project.
He or she must be able to make strong, self-directed decisions, with a focus on performance and results.
General Responsibilities
Advise, direct, and facilitate internal teams in all our development endeavors.
Long term relationship management with internal teams and external partners, consistently raising the quality bar for our virtual world devlopment titles
Ability to manage a full spectrum of Artists, across multiple experience levels
Cross-functional collaboration and leadership
Requirements
· Must have a proven track record of outstanding success in his or her field of endeavor.
BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or similar
5+ years in Art Director position, with proven track record of managing large teams to success, as well as building/maintaining art production schedules
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
In-depth mastery of 2D and 3D art and animation packages, including Photoshop and at least one industry standard, such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, or XSI
Thorough understanding of all aspects of game development process, from design methodology to craftsmanship and production
. Great understanding of Pop Culture, Music, Film and Games
Must be willing to travel
