We are seeking a Government Contracts Compliance Manager, located in our San Luis Obispo, CA headquarters.
The GCCM is accountable for the establishment, implementation, and compliance with contract policies and procedures required to meet Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable flowdown requirements under Federal, State and Local Government funded contracts. Responsibilities include providing guidance to the appropriate functional Managers in all affected areas; organizing and ensuring documentation of necessary training; plus auditing and documenting compliance activities as required by the various contractual agreements entered into by Mainstream Energy.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Act as the Mainstream Energy subject matter and training expert in the area of regulatory compliance for Federal Contracting activities.
Provide guidance to Mainstream Energy departments as necessary to ensure that department policies are in compliance with contract regulations.
Coordinate and/or conduct internal audits as necessary to provide documented evidence of compliance to contract regulatory requirements.
Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with FAR requirements, appropriate laws and corporate policy.
Evaluate new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on corporate policies, business processes and product delivery methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree.
10 years Government contracting experience.
Strong cross-functional (accounting, legal, operations) leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
Expert knowledge of FAR, DFAR, Buy America and other compliance requirements and compliance audit processes.
Familiar with ITAR regulations.
Professional Contracts Manager Certification a plus.
