Multi-tiered Consumer Products Company in Southern California is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support the logistics organization to ensure all distribution processes and procedures are executed at all levels within the domestic supply chain. Additionally, this role will provide tactical support for transportation and warehouse operations oversight.
Major accomplishments:
1) Facility audits: conduct facility audits to ensure compliance with global quality standards and operations policies and procedures; ensure all logistics and distribution Service Level Agreements are in compliance; collaborate with Logistics team to develop and improve policies and procedures; develop and maintain distributor partner and logistics partner scorecards for benchmarking and performance evaluation.
2) Warehouse and Transportation Oversight: assist Logistics team with transportation and warehouse oversight and resolve tactical issues; provide management recommendations to improve transportation and warehouse operations.
3) Miscellaneous Operations Support: provide on-site support as required for annual physical inventory; provide logistics support as necessary; provide statistical reporting and analysis as needed; create documentation and procedures related to logistics policies and procedures.
Experience:
1) 2-5 years experience in warehouse operations
2) Motivated, self-started; able to work independently
3) Basic knowledge of logistics and materials management functions within SAP or a comparable ERP system
4) Highly proficient analytical skills and Microsoft Excel experience
5) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
6) Excellent written and verbal skills
7) The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field relevant to the position requirements.
