BILINGUAL OUTREACH SPECIALIST – RESOURCE & REFERRAL
What We’re Looking For:
Crystal Stairs is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Outreach Specialist for our Resource & Referral Department. Under general supervision, the Outreach Specialist is responsible for conducting outreach, enrollment, utilization, retention, advocacy and referral services to families and providers eligible within the Crystal Stairs service area. You will plan and conduct outreach activities and various meetings, trainings, workshops and other outreach presentations at schools, community-based agencies, local businesses and other public venues. In addition, you’ll perform child care orientations at county/government Regional offices and One-Stop/Work-Source Centers.
Other key duties include maintaining a tracking system for all outreach activities, providing monthly statistical reports on performance targets and outcomes and advocating programs at professional organizations and community events.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
• Bachelor of Science/Arts degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Social Services or related field; relevant work experience in human services/health education/child development may be substituted for college level education.
• Certified enrollment assistant (CAA) preferred, but not required.
• Familiar with outreach enrollment and with CHOI database.
• Experience in marketing, outreach and/or sales
• Strong networking and resourcefulness required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills.
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task while working in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.
• Excellent presentation/public speaking and organizational skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with desktop publishing software a plus.
• Able to work flexible days as work may include evenings and weekends;
• Experience working with families receiving subsidized childcare or other social support services preferred.
• Valid California Drivers License, use of a vehicle with insurance
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
