Deliver high-impact financial and business analytical tools and reports for both internal and external customers using data modeling tools such as ER WIN, Data Warehousing concepts, and Informatica; assist in designing and building reports as well as in data analysis; write SQL to solve complex reporting requirements; design and prepare new reports; address business intelligence initiatives from a data delivery/presentation perspective; perform ad hoc analysis to support business decision making; establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to application standards for data reporting and extracting; maintain and optimize existing reports; assist the customer support group in providing post-implementation support and maintenance; act as consultant to business users to analyze future information needs and suggest reporting solutions to meet those needs; function as Project Lead for data-related projects, assisting in or directing the gathering of data and metrics and evaluating the success of various product releases/launches and new system features; contribute to lead marketplace analysis and financial modeling functions; liaise with various business units to gather requirements and resolve reporting issues; provide direction to Data Warehouse Team for building data marts that meet reporting needs; provide direction to junior team members; work operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, Windows & NT, and support ETL processes and scripts.
Requires Master of Science degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science or related field and 6 months of experience as a business intelligence analyst, management analyst, business analyst, programmer analyst, or in IT consulting; or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science or related field and five years of progressive experience as a business intelligence analyst, management analyst, business analyst, programmer analyst, or in IT consulting. Must possess experience: working in enterprise database software such as MySQL or Oracle; programming in SQL or PL/SQL; in operating systems like UNIX, Linux, Windows, NT; in datawarehouse tools and enterprise data mining using Sagent or Informatica; and in data modeling tools such as ER WIN.
