The Help Group seeks a Spanish speaking therapist, (MFT or MSW) registered with the BBS, to join the dynamic clinical team of REACH, our unique after school program designed specifically for school-aged children, based in Sherman Oaks. This program serves children struggling with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. Therapists provide individual, group, and family therapy, milieu support and consultation, and parent education and training. Excellent supervision, training opportunities, and hours toward licensure provided! Position is full time (M-F, 11 am - 7 pm) with benefits! Therapist MUST be bilingual in Spanish!
Typical Duties:
- Provide individual, group, milieu and family treatment (home based family treatment may be required). A minimum of once a month, face to face contact with parents.
- Provide therapeutic support to the milieu, as well as clinical guidance to the day rehabilitation staff.
- Attend and participate in monthly, evening parent trainings
- Provide case management services, which may include interfacing with Department of Children and Family Service (DCFS), school officials and law enforcement if necessary.
Requirements:
- MFT or MSW - must be registered with the BBS!
- Two years clinical experience with children and families.
- One year experience working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment,. poverty, domestic violence, substance abuse, homelessness)
- One year experience working within school, day rehabilitation, or day treatment preferred.
