Assistant to the Housing Administrator (La Quinta, CA)

Southern California Presbyterian Homes (SCPH), a leading not-for-profit organization providing quality housing, health and support services for older adults since 1955, is seeking an ASSISTANT TO THE HOUSING ADMINISTRATOR for its affordable housing facility of Hadley Villas in La Quinta, CA.




RESPONSIBILITIES:




Reporting to the Housing Administrator, this position will assist in the management of and commitment to the overall quality of operations of the Affordable Housing Community within a safe environment to ensure the well being of residents and staff in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of SCPH. This includes, but is not limited to:




• Administrative Duties


• Resident/Family/Client/Guest Relations


• Physical Plant Support


• Community Relations




JOB REQUIREMENTS:




• BA/BS degree preferred (or BA/BS degree in progress); OR High School Diploma or equivalent; OR equivalent combination education, training, and related professional experience.


• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional clerical experience in an office setting.


• Proficiency and ability to effectively use Windows OS, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Internet Explorer or equivalent software.


• Proficiency and ability to effectively use MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, and the ability to perform mail merge tasks preferred.


• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to demonstrate interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills.


• Willingness and ability to follow written and verbal direction in English.


• Ability to effectively use general office equipment.


• Willingness and ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy.


• Willingness and ability to interact professionally with all customers, including older adults and co-workers, individually and as a part of a team.


• Ability to effectively handle multiple items / tasks as required and adapt favorably to changing priorities.


• Ability to perform duties with frequent interruptions.


• Ability to effectively prioritize items / tasks as required.


• Willingness and ability to learn HUD compliance computer program.


• Bilingual skills helpful.
