Calabria hopes to find an energetic coffee sales professional with industry experience to drive the leading edge of our regional expansion. A successful candidate for this position will:
Have strong knowledge of the coffee industry in general (including prominent technologies & preparation techniques)
Understand current American (specifically urban West Coast) specialty coffee trends
Possess excellent communication skills - this position will require persuasive sales, cultivation of warm client relationships, and the ability to work with (and at times direct) a diverse team
Be organized and self-starting - our customers have high standards and more than a few choices in an increasingly competitive specialty coffee market; a representative of Calabria must be punctual, persistent and well-informed to be successful
Have a clean driving record - this position will require a good deal of travel and all candidates will be required to provide a current DMV record
Understand the value of networking with vendors, chambers of commerce and community groups
Think critically and creatively when considering product-placement and prospective customers
