NGHN, a managed services organization for Planned Parenthood member affiliates, is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join its team. This is a virtual position reporting to the CEO of NGHN.
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or equivalent
Healthcare experience required
Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services; Crystal reporting experience desireable
Able to work virtually full-time
Essential Functions: The purpose of this position is to Develop, implement, maintain and support systems to facilitate reporting and informational needs of NGHN and participating organizations. This position also includes, but is not limited to:
Develop, implement and maintain information warehouse capability for NGHN and its participating organizations
Develop quality standards and processes to ensure ongoing compliance of participating organizations with the NGHN Frameworks
Facilitate accurate data collection and reporting in timely manner through analysis, design, development (software based tools), testing, training and rollout
Provide user support in using Quality Information Warehouse
Develop, implement and maintain reports in the areas of compliance, quality assurance, operational, management and benchmarking
Develop and maintain documentation
Develop ad-hoc reports and analysis based on requests
Work with staff at participating organizations to implement and update local databases and process necessary to populate information warehouse
Provide support and administration of reporting system
Assist participating organizations with effective use of all reports

In-depth understanding of database design, quality analysis and report development
Effective time management and priority management
Data warehouse and report creation experience in healthcare utilizing both custom developed solutions and off-the-shelf reporting and business intelligence tools are required
Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
Basic understanding of MS Server operating systems, MS SQL Server administration and web servers
Ability to effectively handle stress and difficult customer interaction situations
Delivery of simultaneous IT and other projects on time and under budget, meeting expectations of customers
Education and Experience:
Bachelors in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or equivalent
Extensive report development experience using SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, or equivalent
Three or more years' experience using Structured Query Language, including development of stored procedures, experience aggregating data from geographically dispersed systems, and basic database administration
Three or more years' experience supporting end users in a virtual environment
Three or more years' experience supporting both technical and non-technical end users; demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
Experience with data warehouses highly desirable
Experience with NextGen EPM and/or EMR highly desirable
Experience developing business applications / tools in MS Windows environment, especially .NET and ASP, desirable
Experience with creating business requirements, technical specifications and process / data flow diagrams
Experience in supporting users with different levels of sophistication and physical locations
Experience in supporting electronic medical record, practice management and financial systems
Healthcare experience required
Non-profit experience strongly preferred
