Verifi is looking for a motivated and results oriented Database Administrator to work with our small team of talented engineers.

You will be responsible for:
• Provisioning, installing, configuring, operating and maintaining Verifi’s database systems
• Assisting with technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
• Ensuring Verifi’s database systems procedures adhere to regulatory requirements and are aligned with organizational values
• Assisting Software Engineering team with database related technical issues
• Participating on application development projects, focusing on the transition of projects from Software Engineering to Production Infrastructure by addressing database activities within the software development life-cycle
• Monitoring, tuning, replication, query optimization, backup and recovery of MySQL database systems
You bring to the table your:
• Bachelor degree in engineering or computer science
• 3 years experience
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with Linux (RHELL/CentOS/Devian) troubleshooting and engineering
• Experience with SAN
• Experience with Shell scription and system automation with PHP, Perl, or Python
• Strong written and oral communication
• Motivation and ability to quickly learn
• Expectation to be challenged
• High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
In addition, the following would be a plus:
• MySQL Certification
• Strong working knowledge and experience supporting PHP development teams
• Experience working in a high transaction volume 24x7x365 processing environment
• Familiarity with the Payment Card Industry and various Acquirers/Processors
• Understanding of the chargeback process
