We are currently seeking video clips produced by students based on the theme, ‘The Latest News Around My Community'. Use your own creative imagination to create your own, original short film!
Gratuity:
We will pay $300 to those whose footage is selected for our program.
Description:
Economic crises and environmental issues. How are these global themes affecting your own surroundings and your community? Share with us your own view of the news and events that have influenced your community. We need a ‘student’s view’ of the world.
- Footage must be less than one minute (60 seconds).

Example:
<Create your own documentary>
- Report some change which may have occurred to the people in your community as a result of the recession.
- Interview people in your community who are engaged in Eco activities.
<Create your own short film or art>
- Create your own skit or satire on the current recession.
- Animate a message against Nuclear testing.
Objective:
‘GATCHAN’ is a program aired in Japan focusing on college students. We air the footage taken by students from all over the world to introduce what is happening around the world, how they feel about it, and what is interesting to them.
Broadcast: NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation)

Airs: October 2009 ~ March 2010 (Scheduled)
Selection Process:
1. Submit the following documents to apply:
Give us a written belief description of your footage with your name, name of your university, faculty and major, age etc.
And send the above information to Gakchane@topspincreative.com . We will notify you later with the results of our screening.
2. For those who pass the first screening, we will notify you of the due date for your footage. Once you have completed your video clip, upload your clip to our FTP server.
3. We will inform you whether your clip will be used on the program or not.
