Beginning TODAY...and through January 1, 2010...I will be offering FREE Landscape Design Services for Southern California area HOME OWNERS. This is my way of "giving back" and will
ONLY last until January 1st. What I would ask of each HOME OWNER is that I be reimbursed for my TRAVEL EXPENSES to make the trip to Southern California from TUCSON, ARIZONA.
A total COST of $700.00 to cover gas, hotel, food, travel time, etc. for the trip...there will be ZERO charges for the DESIGN SERVICES. This offer ONLY applies to RESIDENTIAL projects (any price range) NOT to Commercial Developments. The EXTENT of design services for each HOME will determine just how MANY homes I can design each month between now and January 1st. Even if you can NOT afford to do the landscaping or construction at this time...this is an extremely good opportunity to get a very Professional Design...so that when the economy gets stronger, you may be in a better position to hire the various contractors to do the work at your home. In EXCHANGE for NOT charging a DESIGN FEE, I would appreciate being paid for the "travel expenses" at the time we meet at your home. No other charges will be involved on your part. Professional Landscape Design Services can easily cost a home owner thousands of dollars, and I have NEVER done this before, but it's something I'd like to do between now and January 1, 2010. Dear Los Angeles & Southern California Home Owners. My name is James Robert (Bob) Wainner. I have been practicing "Landscape Design" for 32 Years. I earned my B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture @ Texas A&M University - May 1977. I have designed over 510 projects in 16 different states during my design career. I am currently a Licensed Landscape Architect in The State of Arizona #45726. I am NOT a Licensed Landscape Architect in The State of California...because I am only providing Landscape Design Services for HOME OWNERS. My designs are outstanding, creative, bold, unique, in budget and produced in a timely manner. All of my designs (for my entire career) have been created "by hand"...as I am very Artistic too.
I can plan to meet you at YOUR HOME to discuss your Landscape needs, take notes, digital photographs. A PLAT of your property would be very helpful (this is a document that most home owners receive when they purchase their home). Any budget constraints you may have and your WISH LIST.....what elements you wish to have designed on the exterior of your property.
With this information, I would prepare a Preliminary Landscape Design and a Preliminary Cost Estimate......and send it to you for your review. Then, I can make whatever changes you wish to
make. I would then produce a Final Landscape Plan that you can use to shop around to various Contractors to get the best possible prices to have the Landscaping and/or Construction done
at your home. Prior to making a trip to your HOME, I would want to talk with you on the PHONE and have an "e-mail agreement" with you as to my Design Services and the "travel expenses".

*Preliminary Landscape Plan.
*Xeriscape Plans (to conserve irrigation water consumption at your home)
*Detailed Cost Estimate.

*Heated Jacuzzis.
*Water Features.
*Pool Decks.
*Redwood Deck Layout.
*Pool Fence Layout.
*Privacy Fence & Screen Fence Layout.
*Retaining Wall Layout.
*Walk Layout.
*Arbor (overhead shade structures).
*Outdoor Fireplace.
*Bar-B-Q Grill Structure Layout.
*Tennis Courts & Sport Court Locations.
*Driveway Layouts.
*Front Yard designs for BEST possible curb appeal.
*Review Irrigation Plans designed by Irrigation Contractor.
*Review Drainage Plans (designed by Licensed Landscape Architect).
*Review digital photos of "on-going planting and construction work) on behalf of the Home Owner.
*Review Contractor's Bids (on behalf of the Home Owner).
*Review Contractor's Invoices (on behalf of the Home Owner).
*Ensure that the design is in full compliance with all (City, County & State) codes.
*Ensure that there are (no liability issues) with the design.
*Be sure the design is "SAFE" for the Home Owner, their family and guests.
*Ensure that the design meets ALL "Home Owners Association" Rules & Regulations.
*Review digital photos of the final work sent to me by the Home Owner.
*Review Final Contractor's Invoices (on behalf of the Home Owner).
MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
*B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture @ Texas A&M University - May 1977;
graduated near the top of my class.
*Born: Long Beach, California.
*Passed the National Examination for Landscape Architects (U.N.E. Exam) in 1978.
*32 Years of Design Experience (in 16 different states).
*Plus, I have logged in over 8,000 hours of over-time during my career (or, 4 additional years of design experience).
*Established my own successful Landscape Design Practice in Dallas, Texas in 1991 and relocated it to Tucson, Arizona in 2008.
*I have been told...that I am ranked in the Top 5% of the 30,000 Landscape Designers in the U.S.
*Produced over 12,500 sketches, preliminary designs, color renderings and final plans "By Hand".
*Designed over 510 projects...in 16 different States.
*Of those 510 projects, 275 were up-scale Garden Apartment Developments for approximately 40 Top Apartment Builders in the Nation.
*Designed over 400 Swimming Pools (no two alike); including the entire pool amenity area.
*Designed over 175 Water Features.
*(2) of my Residental Designs were featured in "Southern Living Magazine".
*(1) of my Resdential Designs was featured in "Texas Homes Magazine".
*I am currently a Registered Landscape Architect in The State of Arizona #45726 - through May 2012.
*Previously, I was a Licensed Landscape Architect in the following States:
Nevada, Texas #815 for 31 years, Oklahoma #18, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana,
North Carolina, South Carolina & Florida #654 for over 10 years. I have also designed projects in The State of Colorado.
*I have mentored over 100 young Landscape Architects during my design career.
*Joined Dallas, Texas Landscape Architecture Firm "Enviro Design" in 1978 as #5 of 5 Landscape Architects....and within
5 years, worked my way up to #3 of 40 Landscape Architects...just behind the (2) Partners/Owners of the firm...as the
firm grew very rapidly.
*For 32 years, I have worked very closely with: Home Owners; Developers; Custom Home Builders; Architects; Civil Engineers; Stuctural Engineers;
Landscape Contractors; Swimming Pool Contractors; Landscape Nurseries and Irrigation Contractors.
*Designed the Residence for Mr. & Mrs. Hudson Houck in Valley Ranch, Texas. Hudson Houck was the Assistant Coach for then -
Head Coach - Jimmy Johnson of the NFL Dallas Cowboys "Back to Back" Super Bowl Championship Teams.
*I was the Assistant Landscape Architect to the Partner "Mr. Al David of Enviro Design in Dallas" for the design of the Five Star Hotel -
"The-Mansion-On-Turtle-Creek" in Dallas, Texas - considered to be the #1 Hotel in The State of Texas...and the Hotel where most of
the Hollywood Stars stay when they travel to Dallas.
*Designed the new $4.5 Million dollar University Athletic Facilities for "Florida Gulf Coast University" - FGCU in South Florida; that included a
$1.2 Million dollar Mondo Olympic Running Track. Mondo USA has built the Olympic Running Tracks for the past 9 Summer Olympic Games.
*Prior to enrolling at Texas A&M University in the Fall of 1974, I served in the U.S. Navy for (4) years - (1970 to 1974) onboard the Aircraft Carrier
USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42). Was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea (2) times for six months and once for (9) months. I was a YN-2 and served as the
Personal Assistant to the Air Wing Commanding Officer for 4 years. I was Honorably Discharged on March 23, 1974.
