Reseda as a city in the San Francisco Valley of Los Angeles, California couldn’t be easily recognized back before 1920 if compared today. It was named Marian, after the daughter of a well off Los Angeles publisher Harrison Gray Otis of the real estate arena. The name was then replaced with Reseda inspired by a sweet smelling tropic plant Reseda odorata that is known for its yellow dye characteristic. Nonetheless, the Americans were smart enough to see the potential of Reseda as an incredibly premeditated site for business headquarters and for a peaceful suburban living. That is one of the reasons why the population of Reseda surged from around 4,000 in the 1940’s to approximately 16,000 in the 1950’s. The city of Reseda has been exposed to several Hollywood films like Terminator 2: Judgment Day of Arnold Schwarzenegger and The Karate Kid. These are just some of certified box-office hits that were shot in Reseda. There are some other movies taken from Reseda including Erin Brockovich, Escape to LA and Boogie nights. The Country Club can be seen in some particular shots of Boogie Nights. After the fame generated by the Dirk Diggler movie, the Country Club became a prominent venue for rock concerts starred by bands like Metallica. This Country Club can be found in Sherman Way, which is a major business area in Reseda similar to Reseda Boulevard. Business establishments get extensive acceptance and response in these locations. Reseda is also the home to one of the historical tourist attraction, Reseda Theater that is presently under renovation until the beginning of 2009. Reseda is a convenient choice for either office moving or home resettlement. It is the first suburbs in the San Francisco Valley which makes it easy for you to retrieve moving quotes from the friendliest and most reliable Reseda moving companies that will surely help you out.
