I am a mature personable 48-year-old displaced professional mom seeking a spacious clean unfurnished room to rent, preferably with a private entry, bath and with a large closet and/or storage space. A private kitchen or shared kitchen and laundry facilities would be a plus. I would like utilities to be included and I am willing to pay a maximum of $600.00 per month. I am a former residential property manager and appreciate a clean, pest free, well-maintained property and environment. While I can drive, I do not currently own a car and would like a location, which is close to bus and train lines. Idea areas would be South Bay cities such as Gardena, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Lawndale, or Torrance. I would also consider rooms in the Riverside County areas.
What is a displaced mom? I simply mean that I have raised two sons that have left the nest and are living on their own and do not require my care, provision, and parenting any longer. These are my “mom’s mission accomplished” years and the first time in thirty years that I am my only dependent. On the professional side, I am an independent contractor providing administrative business support services to a variety of clients virtually. Long-term relationships with former employers, prominent members of my circle of influence, and the International Virtual Assistant Association provide a steady stream of clients, opportunities, and income. In addition, I regularly volunteer and provide administrative support to several church, non-profit and community missions. My home is also my office; therefore, the use of my own furniture is a “most.” Since much of my work is done from my home office, therefore a looking for a quiet environment in which I can live and work.
I am seeking a roommate that owns a home that would appreciate having the extra income and the peace of mind that comes with sharing space with someone with high moral values and traditional family values and lifestyle.
